Welcome, I am Insuk Cho.
Insuk Cho is a highly seasoned Software Engineer with over 23 years of experience spanning South Korea and the United States. He currently serves as a Principal Support Engineer & foraml Solution Tech Lead at @Elastic. His background primarily includes B2B enterprise projects in finance, manufacturing and power plants, utilizing core technologies like Java & Spring framework & Python. He possesses a deep interest and experience in machine learning algorithms for prediction future abnormal behavior for timeseries data. Insuk is also an accomplished Agile/Lean evangelist and has previously served as a development lead in Agile environments, promotingin Scrum, TDD, pair programming, CI/CD, lean product development within cross-functional team.
Driven by a passion for knowledge sharing, Insuk has authored five books—covering Python for novice programmers and Node.js for practical business application — translated three books, and supervised two others. He volunteers as a mentor at Changbal (창발) Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Koreans currently working in the tech industry within the greater Seattle area.
